Tapered whetstones are designed to sharpen implements from gouging tools to carving knives.
They accommodate rounded blades of various size and surface area.
Both sides of whetstone can use, enable both the inner and outer surfaces of the blade to be sharpened.
Use these grinders in the following order: Coarse Whetstone (#240), Medium Whetstone (#1000), Super Fine Finishing Whetstone (#4000).
If there is no blade chipping or blade spilling, medium to finer finishing alone is sufficient.
The earlier type of absorbent whetstone has been evolved to sharpen with only a small amount of water.
